Can You Hear This is a music website dedicated to uncovering great music from the past and present. Our taste is diverse but our goal has always been to entertain with witty and (somewhat) insightful comment. We don’t discriminate by genre, so expect some songs that are both painfully mainstream and others that are totally unheard of. Henry

Hola, that’s me (the one with the tie)! I’m Henry, the douchebag who likes pop music. That’s not a very cool thing to say anymore but I’ve never been a huge fan of that whole cool thing. The guys regularly rip me for being too ‘mainstream,’ and I considered defending myself but am instead taking the moral high-ground (rare). My favourite singers (not of all time, but as many as I can remember at 1:15 in the morning) are Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Katy Perry and anyone who has sung from the Great American Songbook ever. Also, all Jazz. I can be a little more definitive about my favourite record of all time: Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue. I hate the term ‘guilty pleasure,’ like furry (non-poisonous) animals and am mentally married to Dianna Agron. Obligatory twitter follow: @henellenthorpe
