Sounds That Are Helping Me To Stay Alive: A Downbeat Electronic Playlist to Wash Your Stress Away

5 Jun

My apologies for not posting as often. As we’ve stated a bunch of times, our exams are just starting to get really intense, and while I wish I could plop myself down on my sofa and keep you satisfied with a never-ending flow of new tunes, it is sadly impossible. It might just be that some of you readers out there are students also, and you happen to have important/life-changing/future-determining exams coming up. Or you’re just stressed about the end of the school year. Either way, I thought I’d give you a brief rundown of the songs that have been helping me stay relaxed and focused throughout this tough time. Enjoy.

Fall for Your Type (feat. Drake) – Jamie Foxx

Streetz Tonight – Araabmuzik

29 Jul

Haven’t had any dance lately, so let me give you Streetz Tonight by Araabmuzik. There’s been some buzz about this kid lately, and as far as I know, he’s just a dude from Harlem who has been harboring some attention. Good for him. Anyhow, this song is something you can definitely dance to:

Nice and deep. It’s the classic combination of a soft but driving backing with a soaring female vocal layered over the top. We’re not complaining when it’s this good though. If you asked me to give you one word to describe it, I’d probably use ‘dreamy.’ Also, if you like the sound of this, be sure to download Araabmuzik’s mixtape for free, as it also has some awesome tunes on it.
