Memories – Pangaea

On this track, Pangaea makes great use of Gladys Knight’s Neither One Of Us and If I Were Your Woman. Pangaea, or Kevin McAuly began making music as a schoolboy with a keyboard and a tape deck.

Released in July 2009, this track still hasn’t lost its mood, or in fact its beauty. He uses the female vocals to create some infectious hooks, and the reverb on the track is also second to none. Check out his MySpace for more songs and info.

Listenin’ To The Records On My Wall – Skream

Skream’s long anticipated 2nd LP dropped yesterday on Tempa and it’s insane. There are a few tracks which aren’t so great,but it’s impossible to find an album with 10 tracks that are.

‘Listenin’ To The Records On My Wall’ was one of the most eagerly awaited tracks on the album (vinyl heads will have to wait, it’s coming out with something else on the flip) surfacing sometime in summer last year and it was worth the wait with a jungle-y beat and one of the most tense build ups ever. Massive, massive tune, buy the album even if it is just for this. Check the vid, it’s pretty interesting too, if a little racy.

Also, here’s something deep from Burial. Ripped from 1xtra Hyperdub Showcase. Hope this gets released but it probably won’t.

Summer Dreams – Skream
