Crystals – Fixers

18 May

And to close this week where I’ve been given you a new song every day (what the fuck Michael, why are you so generous?!), I have saved the best for last! Listen after the jump.

Fixers are an experimental indie rock group from Oxford and after having headlined the Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds last summer, they are about to release their debut album, We’ll Be The Moon. And from what I’ve heard so far, it is going to be freakin’ rad.

Unerringly rhythmic and unsettling brilliant, Crystals is a dream for those of us begging for a revival of the music that was so popular just a few years ago. It’s genuinely my favourite song at the moment and I’m happy that the Oxford boys have some genuine momentum to try to help ge this kick start going! And if you fancy a slight variation, check out the awesome Memory Tapes remix below.
