A four-piece indie group from Sunderland and Newcastle, Little Comets are really only just starting out on their musical journey. They haven’t yet released an album, but instead have released a series of little singles, the latest of which is entitled Joanna. Here’s the brand new video for the song:
The song has a fast tempo, and lead singer Robert Coles adds exactly the kind of longing british-accented vocals that the song is crying out for. It really sounds great when the band kick in to full gear and there are layers of guitar along with pounding drums. There are also a few great little harmonies if you listen closely. Little Comets are definitely ones to watch. Check out their MySpace for more information, and here’s an awesome live performance of the song for the BBC:
